Acceptable Use Policy
This policy sets out what you may and may not do with Inyoke. It applies to every account and every user, and it forms part of the Terms of Service. Breaching it can get your traffic blocked immediately — by us, or by a carrier we depend on.
1. Scope
“You” means the customer and every user on the account. You are responsible for your users, for anyone you give access to, and for all traffic originated through your account, including traffic generated by automations you configure or by data you upload.
2. General prohibitions
You must not use the Services to:
- Violate any law, regulation or industry rule applicable to you or to the recipient.
- Infringe intellectual property, misappropriate trade secrets, or violate privacy or publicity rights.
- Transmit malware, phishing content, or anything designed to obtain credentials, payment details or identity documents by deception.
- Harass, threaten, defame or stalk any person, or contact someone who has asked you to stop.
- Upload contact data you did not obtain lawfully, including purchased, scraped or harvested lists you cannot evidence consent for.
- Misrepresent your identity, your firm, your regulatory status, or your affiliation with any carrier, government body or insurer.
- Resell or provide access to the Services to a third party without our written authorisation.
3. Voice and dialing
The dialer originates calls in your name. You are the caller of record. You must not use it to:
- Place calls without the consent required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, its implementing rules or any applicable state analogue, including prior express written consent where the traffic requires it.
- Call any number on the National Do Not Call Registry, an applicable state registry, or your own internal do-not-call list, outside a valid exemption.
- Ignore, delay or reverse an opt-out. Do-not-call requests must be honoured promptly and must persist.
- Call outside permitted hours for the called party’s location, or attempt to defeat the platform’s calling-window controls.
- Transmit inaccurate or misleading caller identification, including spoofing a number you are not authorised to use, or rotating numbers to imitate a local presence with intent to deceive.
- Record a call without the consent and disclosures required in every relevant jurisdiction, including states requiring all parties to consent.
- Deliver prerecorded or artificial-voice messages, or ringless voicemail, where consent for them has not been obtained.
- Abandon calls at rates exceeding what applicable rules permit, or dial in a pattern designed to harass rather than to reach a person.
- Generate artificially inflated traffic, or traffic whose purpose is to pump revenue on a terminating network.
The platform’s compliance features — do-not-call checks, calling windows, licence-scope checks, the dial audit trail — are configured by you and depend on your data. Attempting to bypass, disable or feed false data to them is itself a breach of this policy.
4. SMS and messaging
You are the sender of record for all messaging traffic. You must not:
- Message a recipient who has not consented, or continue after they have replied STOP, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE or any equivalent. Opt-outs must be honoured immediately and permanently.
- Omit sender identification, or omit opt-out instructions where the applicable rules require them.
- Register a messaging campaign inaccurately, misdescribe your use case or traffic volume, or register a brand you do not represent.
- Distribute traffic across numbers or brands in order to evade carrier filtering, volume limits or reputation scoring — commonly called snowshoeing.
- Send content prohibited or restricted by carrier and industry guidelines, including content relating to controlled substances, firearms, tobacco and vaping, adult content, gambling, and high-risk financial offers, except where you are expressly permitted and appropriately registered.
- Send phishing, smishing, or messages containing deceptive or cloaked links.
- Use messaging to deliver content unrelated to the programme the recipient signed up for.
5. Insurance-specific conduct
The platform is built for insurance distribution, and that carries its own rules. You must not:
- Solicit, quote or sell in a jurisdiction or line where you or the assigned agent is not properly licensed and appointed.
- Misrepresent policy terms, premiums, benefits, carrier identity or your relationship with a carrier.
- Present yourself as, or imply affiliation with, Medicare, Social Security, a government programme or a government agency.
- Use scripts, message templates or AI-generated content that would breach applicable insurance advertising and suitability rules.
6. AI features
You must not use transcription, summarisation, assistant or classification features to generate content that is deceptive, that impersonates a real individual, or that would breach any other part of this policy. AI output is a draft for a person to check; you remain responsible for anything sent to a consumer.
7. Platform integrity and security
You must not:
- Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Services, or breach or circumvent authentication, rate limiting or tenant isolation, without our prior written authorisation.
- Access another customer’s data, or attempt to.
- Interfere with service to any user or network, including by overloading, flooding or denial-of-service.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or create derivative works from the Services, except where that restriction is unenforceable by law.
- Use automated means to extract data at a scale or rate beyond documented API limits, or share API credentials outside your account.
8. Enforcement
We monitor for abuse and respond to complaints from consumers, carriers and regulators. Where we reasonably believe this policy has been breached, we may — with or without prior notice, depending on severity and on what our carriers require of us:
- Ask you to explain or remediate, and require evidence of consent for a campaign.
- Throttle, filter or block specific traffic, campaigns, numbers or destinations.
- Suspend dialing, messaging or the whole account.
- Terminate the account under the Terms of Service.
- Disclose information to a carrier, regulator or law enforcement body where required or where reasonably necessary to address unlawful traffic.
Immediate action without notice is reserved for traffic presenting legal, network or reputational risk — including where a carrier requires us to stop it. We will tell you what we did and why as soon as reasonably practicable. Suspension does not relieve you of fees, and repeated or wilful breach is grounds for termination without a cure period.
9. Reporting abuse
To report a call or message you believe breached this policy, or a security issue, write to support@inyoke.com. Include the number contacted, the number that contacted you, and the date and approximate time — that is what lets us trace traffic to an account. Please do not test for vulnerabilities against live accounts; contact us first.
10. Changes
Carrier and regulatory requirements change, and this policy changes with them. The current version is always at this URL. Material changes will be notified in the same way as changes to the Terms of Service.
