Voicemail detection

Skip the voicemails. Keep the people.

yoke, the AI built into Inyoke's dialer, listens to the start of every answered call. A voicemail is hung up in about a second, and a person reaches your agent with no wait for detection.

Part of Inyoke, the dialer and CRM for insurance agencies. Updated .

Talk to more people every hour.

Inyoke dials ahead, skips the voicemails and has the next lead ready before your call ends.

  • Power and predictive dialing
  • Voicemails skipped in about a second
  • Leads who call back ring straight through
  • Calls from the browser, with just a headset

Faster than a greeting.

About a second.

The median time from answer to a voicemail verdict, measured on production calls. Standard detection takes about 3 to 5 seconds.123

No dead air.

Answered calls go to your agent without waiting on detection, and yoke listens alongside. Nobody sits in silence while a detector decides.

Unsure means a person.

yoke hangs up only when it's confident. If it isn't sure, the call stays with your agent.

Filed for you.

Every voicemail is filed as one on the lead's record, and your agent is ready for the next call.

How it works.

  1. 1

    The call is answered.

Inyoke sends it to your agent without waiting on detection. Nobody hears a pause while anything decides.

  2. 2

    yoke listens.

It hears the start of the greeting and recognizes a voicemail by what it hears, usually within about a second.

  3. 3

    Voicemails are hung up.

When yoke is sure, it ends the call, files it as a voicemail and frees your agent for the next person.

The details.

  • A median of about a second from answer to verdict

  • Calls it isn't sure of stay with your agent
  • Voicemails reached before an agent picks up end there

  • Turned on campaign by campaign
  • Set how sure yoke must be, per campaign

Questions, answered.

What is voicemail detection?

Voicemail detection, also called answering machine detection or AMD, tells a dialer whether a person or a voicemail picked up, so agents only talk to people. In Inyoke it's done by yoke, the AI built into the dialer.

How fast is it?

About a second: that's the median from answer to verdict on production calls. Standard answering machine detection, as Twilio, Plivo and Vonage document it, takes about 3 to 5 seconds.123

Will people hear silence when they pick up?

Not while yoke decides. Inyoke sends an answered call to your agent without waiting on detection, and yoke listens alongside. Vonage notes that its standard detection can leave 3 to 5 seconds of silence at the start of a call while it decides.3

How accurate is it?

We don't publish an accuracy figure. What we set is the tradeoff: yoke hangs up only when it's confident, so a call it isn't sure of goes to your agent. A missed voicemail costs an agent a few seconds, and a missed person would cost a sale.

Does it leave a voicemail message?

No. Inyoke hangs up on voicemails and files them, rather than leaving a recorded message.

Can I turn it off?

Yes. Voicemail detection is set campaign by campaign, along with how sure yoke must be before it hangs up.
